Tractor trailer rolls over on Rocky Hill street

ROCKY HILL, Conn. (WTNH)–Rocky Hill police responded to a tractor trailer rollover on Wednesday afternoon. It happened on Cromwell Avenue (Route 3), at the intersection of West Street, at around 2:30 p.m.

The truck was impeding the right lane heading southbound on Cromwell Avenue, just south of West Street. Police said drivers should expect delays and are encouraged to use an alternate route, such as Elm Street, or Brook Street, to get to Cromwell Avenue.

A witness told News 8 that the driver of the tractor trailer was able to exit the vehicle and appeared to be unharmed. A Good Samaritan ran over to help him out of the truck. Crews were trying to clear the area as of 5:30 p.m.
