Firefighters extricate driver after rollover crash in Milford


MILFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Fire crews were called to the scene of a rollover crash on Interstate 95 in Milford on Thursday afternoon.

According to the Milford Fire Department, around 2:45 p.m., a man lost control of his vehicle and crashed on the exit 35 off-ramp.

Firefighters say the vehicle rolled over multiple times after striking highway signs, suffering extensive damage.

Paramedics provided medical care while the driver was extricated from the vehicle. No other passengers where inside of the vehicle when it crashed.

The driver has been transported to a local hospital for evaluation. The cause of the crash is under investigation by Connecticut State Police.
