PD: Hartford man stabbed woman, hid in bathtub

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — A Hartford man is facing charges after police say he stabbed a woman in the wrist early Thursday morning.

According to police, just after 4 a.m., units responded to a residence on Baltimore Street for a serious assault and domestic violence complaint.

Officials say they located a woman with a deep cut on her wrist that required several stitches.

Officers then traveled to a building on May Street where the assault allegedly occurred. Police say they located the suspect, 55-year-old Byron Wolmack, hiding in a bathtub.

According to authorities, a second man at the scene cooperated with police and was a witness to the alleged assault.

Wolmack was arrested and is facing charges of Assault in the 1st Degree, Interfering with a Police Officer, and other related charges.
