State Police investigate home invasion in Montville

MONTVILLE, (Conn.) — Connecticut State Police are investigating after a home invasion in Montville Sunday night.

Police say that at approximately 9:07 p.m. Sunday night, troopers responded to a home on Pequot Avenue in Montville for a disturbance. It was reported to Police that a 17 year-old male entered the home through an unlocked door.

The victim told police that he was familiar with the suspect. According to the victim, the suspect was armed with a knife and had been sending the victim threatening text messages throughout the day after an incident that took place between a group of young men a few days ago.

The victim stated that the suspect waved the knifed around and demanded money. After collecting fifteen dollars, the suspect fled the area in an unknown vehicle.

There were no injuries reported and there is no threat to the public.

Police have identified the suspect and an arrest warrant is pending.
