EAST HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Students at a middle school in East Haven were dismissed early on Wednesday due to heating issues.

According to Joseph Melillo Middle School Principal Laura Lynn, students were dismissed at 12 noon.

Lynn tells News 8 that the heat was not circulating. To make repairs, the boiler needed to be turned off, prompting officials to dismiss the students.

Lynn says the heat was restored to the school some time later in the day. Students will have school on Thursday, Jan. 18.
