(WTNH) — News 8 took a trip to East Haven to take a look at what the town has to offer.

Some fun facts about East Haven:

The actor Henry Winkler, who played The Fonz on Happy Days, lived in East Haven while he attended the Yale School of Drama.

The Branford Electric Railway is the oldest continuously running suburban trolley line in the U.S. It is operated by the Shoreline Trolley Museum.

An East Haven landmark, Foxon Park Beverages, has used the same recipe since 1922.

The Shoreline Trolley Museum is a hot spot in East Haven. The trolley ride is an experience the whole family can enjoy.

The Silver Sands Beach Club has people dreaming of summer all year long.

The Mediterranean Bistro is a great place to meet up with friends and have a sweet treat.
