(WTNH)– It’s the end of the work week and around here that means “Freebie Friday!” With tax time right around the corner, we are helping you stretch your dollar with some free tax-filing opportunities.

Money Talks News published this list. If you earn $54,000 a year or less, you want to keep your eyes open for VITA, that’s volunteer income tax assistance. There’s a tool online to help you find a location near you.

For those of you 60 years of age or older, there’s “TCE” that’s tax counseling for the elderly. Those sites are operated by AARP.

If you make under $66,000 a year, you should look into the IRS free file program. It’s a partnership between tax prep software companies and the IRS.

And if you’re going to be filing a 1040ez, you can do that for free at participating H& R Block offices for a limited time. You should contact your local office soon and see what your options are.

A couple freebie bonuses, January is national hot tea month. On Friday, Dunkin Donuts is giving out their breakfast black tea to anyone who buys something.

Friday is National Popcorn Day and to celebrate, participating Regal Cinemas is offering 50% off popcorn today.
