Report-It Recap: January 19, 2018

(WTNH)– We have received some awesome pictures and videos of the wintry weather this week. Things like, kids and pets having a great time out there.

Another week, another round of winter weather. Wednesday’s storm dumped snow on some parts of the state. Places like Goshen and Harwinton saw a good amount.

John didn’t see much of anything. He admits that he took a photo of some snow from the last storm that he tossed onto the grass in his back yard.

Some kids were enjoying another snow day, using their time to build some snowmen of all different shapes and sizes. Someone even made a snow castle in New Milford.

Our four-legged friends enjoyed running around in it all. While others just kinda sat there.

One little guy discovered some of the ice along Silver Sands Beach in Milford.

Which brings me to the headline of the week — ice, ice. and more ice. All of it building up along many of the waterways in our state. You can see chunks of it floating down the Connecticut River in Middletown.

Ice covered a soccer field in Litchfield and there’s flooding in Glastonbury.

Kevin got a great shot above New Milford of all the ice just sitting there in the river. And then there’s the town of Kent, seeing flooding from the ice jam there.

Pat Zipp, from Bristol, got great shots showing all the mess Mother Nature is causing.

Finally, a tender moment from Hamden. Robyn got a picture of a male and female bald eagle, perched on a branch, beak to beak.
