Cruisin’ Connecticut – Jump Shot Range Basketball Training in Stratford

STRATFORD, Conn. (WTNH)– Today we’re Cruisin’ Connecticut to Stratford, home of Jump Shot Range, basketball training facility.

Jump Shot Range was started because my daughter had a growth spurt, and she wanted to play basketball. I knew she was behind some of the players, so I decided to put her on a basketball training program.

Now, Patrick Parker’s creation of Jump Shot Range allows other athletes to work on their game.

That’s the most rewarding part – to take these kids off the street and actually give them a place to develop their basketball skills. It’s just a great opportunity. We have players that come in and get 300, 400, 500 reps every time they come in. That’s per day, and that’s how they become proficient shooters.

They have to learn how to shoot with the proper form, handle the ball and improve their agility. Athletes can hop on the Vertimax, which adds resistance to your jump. So this is to make them faster and jump higher.
