State Police investigate deadly crash in Windsor


WINDSOR, Conn. (WTNH) — Connecticut State Police say that one person in dead after a crash on Route 20 in Windsor Monday evening.

At about 4:30 p.m. on Monday, State Police closed Route 20 at Route 75 in Windsor for a serious crash with an entrapment.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle, which was traveling eastbound on Route 20, near Route 75, lost control. The vehicle then swerved off of the right shoulder, down an embankment, and into a tree.

The operator of the vehicle, who was identified as Kyle Puttin, 23, of South Windsor was pronounced dead on scene.

The road has since been reopened and State Police continue to investigate.
