(WTNH)– The big game is Sunday and we all know the best seat in the house is comfortable on your own couch. So, a lot of you may be thinking about upgrading that TV.

We are stretching your dollar on what you should know before you swipe your credit card.

The nation is ready to see the Patriots take on the Eagles this weekend but to see it in person will cost you thousands of dollars. It’s cheaper and warmer to simply upgrade your own TV and watch the game at home. So what do the deals look like this year?

“We have a lot of great deals going on, this is the greatest time of the year to get a great TV,” said Nate Bauer, Best Buy.

We talked to a Best Buy representative Nate Bauer and former Minnesota Vikings player Ben Leber about bringing the experience to your living room.

Right now you can save hundreds on a new TV..

“That 65 inch TV that is $1,299 , you’re saving $300 on that. You’re saving $130 on the 599, 55 inch TV. And the sound bars, the savings start at $130 to $300,” said Bauer.

If you’re hosting guests, it may be the time to splurge on sound as well. Right now sound bars are marked down with a savings of roughly $100-200.

“You actually feel like you’re a fan in the stadium. You can hear the quarterback ogling, you can hear all the fan noise, you can hear all the big hits. It is true sound,” said Leber.

Perhaps the most important thing to remember when TV shopping this weekend is it’s competitive and most places price match. If you find a TV you like but a better price somewhere else, see if they can sweeten the deal or throw something extra into a bundle deal.
