Capitol Report: Erin Stewart considers run for governor

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (WTNH) — New Britain Mayor Erin Stewart was just 26-years-old when she won her first election.

Now, at the ripe old age of 29, she has her eyes on a run for governor.

Last week, Stewart did a Facebook Live to announce that she is “exploring.”

The next day, she spoke to News 8 about why she is considering a run.

The panel discusses how Stewart, who is fiscally conservative and socially liberal, may appeal to a lot of voters in the state.
