Police warn of black ice after accident closes road in Hebron

HEBRON, Conn. (WTNH)– The icy road conditions has caused an accident in Hebron on Monday morning.

Connecticut State Police say Loveland Road is temporarily closed in Hebron due to a car accident. It’s unclear if anyone was injured.

Troopers took to Facebook to show a photo of the accident as a warning to drivers to watch out for black ice with the temperatures dropping. Drivers may experience slippery conditions so they are urged to use extreme caution when traveling.

There’s no word on when the road will reopen at this time. The accident remains under investigation.
