Route 77 closed in Guilford for emergency repairs

GUILFORD, Conn. (WTNH)– Route 77, Durham Road, will be closed in Guilford for most of the day Monday due to emergency repair work.

Guilford Police say that as of 6:30 a.m., Route 77, Durham Road, is closed between Prospect Hill Road and Hubbard Road due to emergency repair work. The closure is just north of the police station and the I-95 exit 58 on/off ramps.

Police say alternate routes are available on either Long Hill Road or Little Meadow Road.

The power company reports that this road closure will continue for most of the day so repairs can be made. There will also be intermittent power outages throughout the day.

Drivers are urged to plan ahead for a longer commute.
