Charcuterie board from Elm City Market

(WTNH) — Cheese Department Supervisor of Elm City Market in New Haven Jeffrey Laboda breaks down some charcuterie board suggestions for your next get together.

One popular charcuerite board Jeffrey likes to put together is called “Traveling to Europe.” It consists of cheese, salad greens, breads, crackers, jam, mustard, cornichons, and olives.

To really expand the taste of your spread, Jeffrey suggests using cheese from a cow, goat, and a sheep because each cheese has a different flavor profile.

If you are interested in making your own charcuterie board, the folks over at Elm City Market can help you line up your own ingredients for the perfect platter.

Jeffrey has been featured on the Food Network TV Show called ‘Cut Throat Kitchen.’ He has also performed ricotta making demos at the Taste of the Shoreline.
