Naugatuck police looking for suspects who used counterfeit bills

NAUGATUCK, Conn. (WTNH)–Police in Naugatuck are looking for two men accused of passing counterfeit money.

Police responded to Walmart in Naugatuck after a report that two men had bought $720 in gift cards using counterfeit $20 bills.

The suspects are described as black males in their 20’s-30’s. One man is thin build, possibly with braids/dreadlocks and using a British accent. The other male was described as heavyset.

Police believe the two are also tied to a counterfeit money case in West Hartford.
