Study: LA has world’s worst traffic congestion, 4 CT cities listed

LOS ANGELES (WTNH) — Los Angeles came out on top for having the world’s worst traffic congestion.

According to the 2017 Traffic Scorecard by INRIX, out of more than 1,300 cities in 38 countries, Los Angeles claims the Worst Congestion-title for the sixth consecutive year.

INRIX says drivers in and around the city of Los Angeles spent 102 hours battling traffic congestion in 2017 during peak hours.

New York City was number three on the list, while Moscow was number two.

Some of Connecticut’s cities also made the list, with Stamford at 16, Waterbury finishing 49, Bridgeport sitting at 57, and New Haven in the 59th spot.
