Yale has big week, but Keith Allain won’t be there–he’s heading to the Olympics

(WTNH)–Yale men’s hockey coach Keith Allain has big week. His team plays Quinnipiac and Princeton–but Allain won’t be there.

He’s heading to South Korea for the Olympic Games. Allain leaves Wednesday. He’s an assistant coach for the men’s hockey team.

This is Allain’s third tour of duty with US hockey. He gets to coach three of his former players again–Marc Arcobello, Brian O’Neill and Broc Little.

The United States will play its first game next Wednesday against Slovenia in a preliminary round game.

It’s a 15-hour trip for Allain, followed by a team meeting, and then practice the next day. Allain says it’ll be exciting, and he’s ready to go.
