70-year-old man hit and killed by car in Greenwich

GREENWICH, Conn. (WTNH)–A 70-year-old man was struck and killed by a car in Greenwich on Wednesday. It happened on Milbank Avenue, where police said the man was trying to cross the street.

After being struck, he slid under a parked car. Greenwich police, fire, and EMS responded to the scene, and were able to get him out from under the car and transport him to a local hospital. He was pronounced dead there.

Police have not released the identity of the man who died, or the driver of the vehicle.

This collision is under investigation by the Greenwich Police Department Traffic Section. Any-one with any information is asked to call Sergeant Patrick Smyth at (203) 622-8015.
