Garbage truck crash closes portion of road in Windsor

WINDSOR, Conn. (WTNH) — A garbage truck crash is causing issues for commuters in Windsor on Wednesday afternoon.

Officials say Route 305 between Mountain Road and Addison Road has been shut down due to a serious crash involving the truck and a car.

Police are asking motorists to seek alternate routes.

It is not known at this time if anyone suffered any injuries.

Officials did not say exactly when they expected the road to reopen, but they anticipate it will not be until well into the evening.
