Haddam lifts state of emergency

HADDAM, Conn. (WTNH) — The town of Haddam is no longer in a state of emergency.

First Selectwoman Lizz Milardo told News 8 on Wednesday morning that the ice in the town has melted.

For weeks, Haddam and other towns were plagued by ice jams and threats of flooding along Connecticut’s rivers.

Town officials say they are now evaluating the damage caused by the wintry weather.
