Ledyard man charged for alleged burglary

LEDYARD, Conn. (WTNH) — A Ledyard man is facing charges after police say he attempted to burglarize a home.

According to police, on Dec. 04, 2016, Thomas Coady entered a home and was confronted by a homeowner. Coady then allegedly fled the scene through the home’s garage and into the backyard.

Officials say an investigation led to the discovery of Coady’s DNA at the scene.

On Tuesday morning around 6:00 a.m., police arrested Coady at the Ledyard Police Department for Burglary in the Second Degree and Criminal Mischief in the First Degree.

He was held on a $50,000 bond and appeared in court on Wednesday.
