Police search for suspect in Fairfield bank robbery

FAIRFIELD, Conn.(WTNH)– Police are looking for the man who allegedly robbed a bank in Fairfield on Wednesday morning.

Police say officers are investigating a robbery at the Key Bank, at 1731 Post Road, that happened around 11:30 a.m.

According to police, the suspect entered the store and passed the clerk a note indicating that he was committing a robbery. He then left out the back door with an undisclosed amount of cash, before the clerk called police.

No one was injured at the scene and the incident was captured on surveillance camera.

Police describe the suspect as a an African American male, wearing dark sunglasses, blue gloves, a dark colored hoodie, dark pants and tan shoes.
