Officials identify man fatally struck by car in Greenwich

GREENWICH, Conn. (WTNH) — Police say a man was fatally struck by a car in Greenwich on Wednesday evening.

According to police, around 6:00 p.m., 70-year-old Robert Bono of Greenwich was crossing Milbank Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle.

Emergency crews extricated Bono and transported him to a local hospital where he later died.

Police say the driver who struck Bono stopped at the scene and has been cooperating with the investigation.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Greenwich police.
