23-year-old man suffers multiple injuries in East Lyme crash


EAST LYME, Conn. (WTNH)– A 23-year-old man suffered multiple injuries in a car crash in East Lyme, early Monday morning.

Police say at around 12:34 a.m., officers received a call for a person suffering from a head injury on Roxbury Road. Officers, firefighters and EMS all responded to the scene to find a 23-year-old man suffering from multiple injuries.

According to police, an initial investigation indicated that the injuries were sustained in a car accident on East Pattaganset Road.

The victim was taken by ambulance to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital before being transferred to Yale-New Haven Hospital for treatment. His identity has not been released at this time.

There is no word on the cause of the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
