24 units destroyed, 22 families displaced in Middletown fire

(WTNH) — Police say 24 units were destroyed and 22 families were displaced in the fire at the Northwoods East apartments in Middletown last Thursday.

Authorities say they are now looking for the public’s help. They say those affected need toiletries, clothing, pet food and non-perishable food items.

Police say donations can be dropped off at 5 Town Colony Drive from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Officials say cash or gift certificates are also welcomed.
