Work underway on North Haven Amazon fulfillment center

NORTH HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Work is finally underway on a massive new Amazon fulfillment center in North Haven.

The 1.2 million square foot warehouse is going up on Washington Avenue.

It is being built on the site of an old Pratt & Whitney facility.

The Amazon facility is expected to create nearly 2,000 jobs.

It is expected to open in May or June, 2019.
