I-84 west in Newtown reopens after tractor trailer crash


NEWTOWN, Conn. (WTNH) — Interstate 84 westbound in Newtown has reopened following a tractor trailer accident that happened late Tuesday night.

According to officials, the tractor trailer accident on I-84 westbound in Newtown has been cleared and the highway has been reopened.

The tractor trailer accident shutdown the westbound side of the highway between exits 10 and 9.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation reported that the accident was cleared at 2:06 a.m Wednesday morning.

State police say there were no injuries and the cause of the crash is unknown.
