(WTNH) — In this edition of Captiol Report After Hours, Connecticut’s Chief Cyber Security Risk Officer, Art House, joins the panel to talk about Russia’s meddling in the 2016 US election and the state of security with Connecticut’s elections.
Connecticut was one of the 20 U.S. states that Russian hackers attempted to reach, but according to House, they never got through. The security firewalls set up by the state worked, and House said that almost half of the 4.8 billion monthly attempts to connect to the state are blocked.
Expanding the discussion to the national level, House said that Russia is attacking the United States online frequently, and they intend to influence more elections in the future.
