Dolly Parton to donate 1 millionth book from her charity

(WTNH) — Dolly Parton is set to donate her one millionth book from her “Imagination Library” charity.

Parton’s organization mails free books to children from birth until they start school.

Parton plans to visit Washington next week for a special presentation at the Library of Congress.

The country music star has said in the past that her father’s illiteracy inspired her to start the program in 1995.
