Ethan Allen Design Tip: Mixing Metals

DANBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — Did you know, when it comes to using metals, it’s okay to mix and match finishes?

“Cool and warm metal finishes can live together comfortably,” explained Ethan Allen Design Consultant Mark Audley. “A collected feel is more important than a perfectly matched space.

Audley says if you’re just starting out, opt for antique finishes rather than bright finishes.

“Because mixing bright silvers and bright brass takes some time,” Audley said.
