New Haven’s Tanaya Atkinson getting most out of Temple University basketball career

Tanaya Atkinson left New Haven four years ago unsure what the future held at Temple University.

The former All-State player at Career High has made the most out of her college choice.

Sunday against top-ranked Connecticut, Atkinson played her final college game in the state she grew up in. She came in as the leading scorer in the American Athletic Conference averaging  21.4 points per game.

Her Owls lost to the Huskies but not lost on Atkinson is the success she’s worked for and achieved at Temple.

Atkinson will leave the school as the Owls 2nd all-time leading scorer, having grabbed one thousand career rebounds and with a college degree.

She has also been invited to the WNBA combine after the season.

Check out what Atkinson has to say!
