BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) – If I told you that one of the best places we’ve been to on this show is right here in Bridgeport, Harlan Haus, you probably wouldn’t believe me. The fun part is, you get to see it right now, on Restaurant Road Trip.
The German beer hall has been open for just over a month. Owner, Stephen Lewandowski talks about the history of the converted bank.
Yeah, it’s been amazing, taking this 120 year old building, and repurposing it into a restaurant, and getting bodies in here. It’s been an amazing experience.
It’s all about German food, good beer and a fun time:
That kind of Eastern European food, lots of flavor, braised for a long time. And when we came into this space, this thing to me just screamed “A beer hall tent.”
Watch what Chef Stephen and Chef Plum whip up in the kitchen, in the episode above. Visit Harlan Haus here: 155 State St, Bridgeport, CT 06604
