Capitol Report: Hearings to begin on chief justice nominee

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — On Monday, the legislature’s Judiciary Committee will kick off hearings with Supreme Court Chief Justice Nominee Andrew McDonald.

Governor Dannel Malloy’s nominee is not without some controversy.

McDonald is a longtime friend of Gov. Malloy.

With the Democratic Governor on his way out, Republicans would like to keep McDonald out as well.
