Getting your teen their first credit card

(WTNH)- One of the many ways the internet has changed our lives is the way we shop and as a consequence the way we pay for merchandise and services.

Executive Communications Director of the Connecticut Better Business Bureau Howard Schwartz came on Good Morning Connecticut on Sunday to discuss when is it appropriate for a teenager or college student to get their first credit card.

Schwartz said when getting a new card to visit, build a credit history, avoid carrying a balance and don’t wait to report a missing card.
