Cruisin’ Connecticut – New Bender Showroom in New Haven

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) – Today we’re Cruisin’ Connecticut to New Haven, home of the new Bender, Inc. showroom.

I caught up with Nina Bender to see what the redesigned space is all about!

My family’s been in this business since the ’20s and this building has been here for a hundred years before that. So it’s really special to us to be in our original space. The way Bender preserves history makes me really proud.

For instance, you’ll notice that the ceilings in the new show room have an interesting texture. The cement has wood grain imprints from the wood beams that were there for hundreds of years.

So it’s like the grain of New Haven is still in our building. It’s still in our blood and we’re still trying to meet New Haven’s needs and meet the people of Connecticut’s needs by evolving our business.

When you stroll the new showroom, you’ll feel like you’re on HGTV.

If you like mixed finishes, putting in metal into your backsplash, using a different color finish on your faucet than you would on your knobs, it’s a risk but it pays off because it looks so cool. It looks like an art gallery in your home.

And with the new showroom and expansion, Bender has made it easy to find what you need.

So downstairs we have tons of vignettes, a lot of them are plumbed and working with running water, where you can see oh okay, if I have a brick wall in my space, this color would make a lot of sense, or I really like this fixture, what tub does it go with? And we also wanted to give people the opportunity to try the products.

You can do just that by visiting the new Bender showroom: 335 East St, New Haven, CT 06511
