Study: 4th-highest real estate taxes found in Connecticut

(WTNH) — Does it seem like you pay a lot of money for real estate taxes living in Connecticut?

It turns out there’s a reason for that.

A new WalletHub study has found that Connecticut has some of the highest property taxes in the country.

Based on the nationwide median home prices, Connecticut’s taxes are the 4th-highest in the country.

The study also found that New Jersey, Illinois and New Hampshire are the worst.

The state with the lowest property taxes is Hawaii.
