TORRINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — The University of Connecticut’s former satellite campus in Torrington is about to go on the market.

However, Torrington city officials will get first dibs on making an offer for the 95-acre property.

State law requires the city to have the first opportunity to make an offer. They will have 45 days to respond.

UConn closed the Torrington campus in 2016 due to declining enrollment.
